Welcome back to another Just Add Ink Challenge! This week we have a colour challenge for you!
I chose the colours for this challenge because they are totally my sort of colour combo! I also decided to created 3 cards for this challenge to show that you don't have to throw everything at your cards to make them great. I've created the 3 cards, one for each crafter level - beginner, casual and avid.
All 3 cards are based the same. I used a Misty Moonlight card base and using strips of the 3 colours I just adhered them in repeat pattern down the front of the base. The best part about the strips is that I didn't have to measure one of them! As long as they are longer than the width of the card to trim just go for it and use any width strips you want or have laying around! My strips were left over from other card projects and I think all ranged from max 1.5cm down to 0.5cm.
Now because I did stripes I thought it was the perfect opportunity to use the new Zany Zebra stamp set - stripes, right? So these were stamped in Memento and just die cut using the Stitched Shapes Dies. The beginner card was left blank while for the other two I used Seaside Spray Blends to add colour to the die cut. There is also the slightest touch of Purple Posy on his tongue!
The rest of the beginner card is all featured in the other two, same sentiment and same rhinestones (coloured with the Misty Moonlight Blends). Besides the colouring around the Zebra the only addition to the casual crafter card was I added some ribbons behind the die cut.
For the avid crafter card I used Versamark to repeatedly stamp 'Happy Birthday' on some of the stripes and doubled the amount of the white flax ribbon. So really it was just simple changes just to fancy up the card!
