Welcome to our latest Just Add Ink challenge! This week we have a pretty cool challenge for you - Just Add A Diorama!





I don't make a lot of 3D projects so I really had to think about this one. I Googled around and looked at some Pinterest and came up with this pretty cool 3D Tunnel Box Card from The Paper Pixie. I had to play with some measurements to make it metric but I basically used the same principals completing the box card such as die placement. My measurements were an A4 piece of cardstock cut in the middle along the short side at 10.5cm and then scored at 12.6cm, 14.6cm, 27.2cm and 29.2cm leaving 0.5cm for the flap to close the box. From memory the two internal pieces were cut to 13.9cm (width) x 10.5cm (height) and the width was scored at 13.25cm from either end. I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies for my cut-outs, reducing in size by one.

Honestly, once my box card was made I really didn't know what to put in it! I coloured numerous flowers and animals but nothing seemed right. So I put it aside as I do with all projects that are just not working for me and went and watched a movie. While I was sitting there about half way through it came to me to try my Wisteria Wishes set. So I trotted back in and started playing with some watercolours, die cut them out and there you have it! After that the box card just came together by layering flowers and leaves on different pieces. I used a piece of vellum on the back of the inside which I had clear embossed using the main wisteria stamp from the stamp set.

The wisteria is mixes of Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide and Fresh Freesia and the leaves are Pear Pizzazz and Parakeet Party. The card will fold flat and will fit in a normal SU C6 envelope.







For now it looks quite pretty sitting on my desk but I am sure soon it will find a home! I loved the challenge of making this one and hopefully after visiting the Just Add Ink blog you'll be inspired to enter!
