Welcome back to our latest Just Add Ink challenge and this week we are being asked to stick to the bare minimum! Indeed it was a challenge!
I really found this challenge hard, I'm so used to adding layers, ribbon, bling, keeping this to the minimum is so not what I am used to!
So, being so simple, there really is not a lot involved with making my card. I took a white layer and stamped the main flower from the Blessings From Home stamp set. To keep it minimal I only coloured one flower and some leaves with Blends, I thought it made the flower pop a little. To make it look like a raised layer I used the matching die from the Flowers of Home set to create a mask and lightly blended some Polished Pink ink around the outside of the flower with the mask allowing for the little white border around the image. To finish the card I layer this on a Polished Pink base and used a simple sentiment from the same stamp set. And that's it!
My card would be very easy to step up a little. I would of added a little edge of perhaps darker or light pink to each side of the white, added some ribbon or twine and of course, some bling.
Can you make a minimal card? Check out the other great inspiration over at the Just Add Ink blog and perhaps try the challenge for yourself?
