It's Friday again and that means another new Just Add Ink challenge! This week we have an inspiration challenge for you!
One thing I have not done in a long time is Christmas cards. Usually time gets away from me and they aren't done with enough time to send. I decided to bite the bullet this time around and start my Christmas creations (time will tell if I finish them) with this JAI challenge.
You can tell I love a good flowery card but not having in my stash any wreath stamp sets I had to get creative and make my own. I randomly watercoloured some Fluid 100 watercolour paper with Pool Party and Lost Lagoon inks and then using one of the leaf fies from the Pierced Blooms dies I cut out quite a few, I think about 10 in all. I also cut some in Pretty Peacock. To make the wreath I die cut a large circle in Pool Party cardstock and just started layering them around the edge. The flowers were just some randoms from the retired Lovely Flowers edgelits that I cut from Basic White and coloured in with Berry Burst Blends. I also used Blends to colour pearls for the flower centres.
Once the wreath was basically done I popped it up off an embossed Basic White layer on a Pool Party base. Some retired ribbons and embellishments, and a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas finished my card.
I hope you enjoyed my project and are inspired to join our challenge this week. Don't forget to pop on over to the JAI blog to check out the other Design Team inspiration!
