It's that time again when we welcome a new Just Add Ink challenge and this week we have an inspiration challenge for you.





I admit, it took me a while to find some inspiration from the picture and tie it to supplies I have but I did find some and the end result is not quite what I was expecting!

While I love flowers and nature I don't have a lot of 'tree' things and I don't often work in browns or greens. My immediate focus went to the little kitty in the basket with the tartan rug so that was the inpiration I used.

My card started out with a Crumb Cake base and the full DSP layer of crumb Cake tartan/check but it seems I am totally incapable of doing anything 'earthy' as that's where the colours stopped. I went totally left field with the colours for my kitty stamp using Petunia Pop, Bubble Bath and subtle greens Old Olive and Mossy Meadow and the kitty itself with Crumb Cake Blends. I went around the image with some light Pool Party and used the Everyday Details Dies to cut it out. I embossed a simple saying from the new Simply Said stamp set and added some natural retired ribbon and some pearls coloured with the dark Mossy Meadow Blends. I love the bright pop of colour against the neutral card.
