Hello and welcome to a new year with Just Add Ink! We are kicking off the year with our annual Blog Hop and this year we are adding something seasonal to our projects!

You may have arrived from Chantel's blog with her wonderful card or you may be starting here but either way grab a chair and do the whole hop because you are in for some gorgeous treats!





Well, the subject of this hop fits me perfectly! My favourite season is Spring, my world is getting warmer (but not too warm like our Aussie summers) and an abundance of flowers are making their way into the world. My love of flowers definitely comes from both of my Nannas and my Mum, I have many memories of one Nanna pottering around in her endless garden when I was little, my other Nanna who had a whole side fence full of gorgeous Sweet Peas, and my sorely-missed Mum who adored Roses (especially pink ones), Bougainvillea and Peonies just to name a few.

I chose to use the semi-new Charming Day bundle and it's stunning flowers. I went with Lemon Lolly as my main colour and paired it with Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green.

The main image is stamped and embossed on Fluid 100 watercolor paper and I used paint brushes to slowly add colour to it. Once die cut i layered it on some leaves, a DSP layer, and a layer which was embossed(?) using the Pattern of Friendship die. I tried to add some gold and white splatters but against the Lemon Lolly you can't really see them. A simple sentiment andsome sequins finished my card. I apologize as the Lemon Lolly doesn't photograph too well.
