Welcome to another new Just Add Ink challenge! This week we have been given a sketch challenge.





I always love a good sketch and this is certainly a good one! I started out wanting to do something a little different but somehow I have returned to my regular style!

I have loved Boho Blue since it came out but would you believe I think this is the first time I have used it! I started my card with the base and then the Boho Blue layer. I dry embossed it with the Distressed Tile folder and trying to spruce it up a little I used a retired Silver Delicata ink pad (and my finger) to gently rub the silver over the embossing giving it a bit of an eclectic look. I played around with some colour combos but ended up going a little monochromatic pairing it with Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight. I first tried to use Blends to collour in a stamped flower but it just looked too dark in blue so using watercolour it always seems to lighten the colour's tone. I then remembered I had some leftover die cuts from previous cards using the Pierced Blooms dies so I coloured those up with Misty Moonlight, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green ink. Some smaller punched flowers in Night of Navy, a sentiment and some silver pearls finished my card.
