Challenges don't get more simple than this one, a chance to stretch your creativity! I decided I wanted to have a play with the Painted Poppies suite because I hadn't already done so, plus my seriously gorgeous niece is having a birthday so this seemed just perfect to kill two birds with one card!

If you follow me you'll know my style - flowers, watercolours, you get the idea. Well this card is no different. Most of the Painted Poppies bundle is red and greens but I very rarely do those colours as I much prefer blues and purples.

For most of my project I used the framelits, in fact the only thing stamped is the 'Happy' which was embossed in White. I cut out blank poppies using Fluid 100 watercolour paper and then simply used an aqua painter to dabble some Purple Posy and Balmy Blue around on the flowers. The white flower layers were added to the watercoloured flowers using mini dimensionals and the stamens were cut from their coordinating coloured cardstock. There is a vellum layer from the Painted Labels die set and then leaves and buds layered underneath, also from the Poppy Moments dies.

The die cut 'birthday', Whisper White twine and the rhinestones (coloured with the light Night of Navy Blends marker) were my finishing touches.
