We have a new challenge for you today at Just Add Ink! This week we have been asked by Jan to add Mixed Media.
To be honest I had never done mixed media before so I was really trying something new!
I started with a spare Magnolia I had embossed in White and using Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight and Water Painters I gave it a really rough colouring in. The leaves were done in Pear Pizzazz and a touch of Mossy Meadow and I used a tiny bit of Early Espresso for the stem. I paired the finished flower with a base and another embossed layer of Night of Navy. Using the Frost White Shimmer paint I flicked some over the embossed layer and then roughed the edges to give it a bit of a grungy look.
I thought the blue tones went perfectly with the rough retired Burlap ribbon and then added some delicate silver ribbon to compliment it. A simple embossed sentiment finished my card.
I appreciate you stopping by to see my project, I hope to see you enter our challenge with your gorgeous creation!
