Welcome to our latest Just Add Ink challenge! This week we have a 'choose two' challenge!
I hope you like the project, it does look much better in person as I had to photograph it in a rush.
My first initial thought for this challenge was to run with my usual flowers and texture but having needed to do a special '80th' birthday card I changed my mind and went for trees and texture instead.
This card is really very simple. A base of Early Espresso, a layer of embossed Early Espresso using the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder and then the detail layer on top. I used the Rectangle Stitched dies to cut a plain Whisper White layer and then using a scrap of Whisper White I added the strips from the retired Wood Textures DSP using Bruno Bertucci's scrappy strip technique. Once all the strips were added I used the next smallest rectangle to make all the edges even and neat.
To finish I cut the '80' using the retired 'Large Numbers' dies, added the white-embossed 'Happy Birthday' and some Linen Thread.
I hope you like the project, it does look much better in person as I had to photograph it in a rush.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
