Jo's Stamping Spot - Just Add Ink Challenge #598

If you are a follower of my blog you know I do mostly feminine cards, I find masculine ones a real challenge. There was nothing about this colour challenge that said feminine to me so I had to put my thinking cap on.

Around this time of year we have two male birthdays so I aimed my card at the younger male. I used Water Painters to add the ink stripes to the Fluid 100 paper in the 3 challenge colours and when it was dry I spritzed it with water to give it that messy look. Once the spritzing was dry I used Versamark and the Biggest Wish stamp set to add some clear embossing on the watercolour layer (you can see it in the last photo, I'm sorry for the quality but I had to find some sunlight).

I tend to keep my male cards fairly simple so I finished it with some simple white frayed ribbon, a piece of white ribbon I dunked into some Misty Moonlight ink and a simple sentiment.

  1. This is SO cool, Jo! Love the irregular/fuzzy stripes, and the idea to clear-emboss the big sentiment over the top is genius. Love it.
