Jo's Stamping Spot - Just Add Ink Challenge #636

What a fun way to kick off the year! Initially I was going to have a play with probably my most favourite stamp set - Birthday Blooms - but as I was looking at the cards of mine that you guys liked most from the last year the most obvious choice became to remake, with a twist, the card I made for my Mum's birthday last year.

Based on a card by Tammy Wilson, I had the most fun in a long time making this card...

Jo's Stamping Spot - birthday card with Pierced Blooms Dies by Stampin' Up!

This card used lots of my current favourites - watercolouring, gorgeous colours, die cuts, embossing, ribbons - I think I threw every favourite thing into making it! So I've done a bit of a CASE for my blog hop project of this card. I used a lot of the same techniques but changed up the colours and the layout. The flowers are really simple to make. I spread the different colours (Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide, Shaded Spruce and Parakeet Party) onto watercolour paper, let them dry and then cut out all the pieces. The layers are a Starry Sky base with Orchid Oasis layers and DSP.
