Welcome back to our first 'regular' challenge of the year at Just Add Ink! This week we have an Inspiration Challenge for you!





Don't you just love the summery feel of our image, it perfectly suits the Australian summer! With that in mind nothing says summer to me better than goregous tropical flowers, because alas, I do not have any cocktail or drinking stamps in my collection.

I am not quite sure if these flowers are hibiscus or frangipani flowers but I don't really think it matters. The flowers are from a set called Floral Bouquet by Avery Elle that my Mum owned and are stamped on our Fluid 100 paper in StazOn. I watercoloured them in Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight and a touch of Crushed Curry, and the leaves are Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green.

The base is Blueberry Bushel with a Basic White layer. The top layer is another Basic White layer that I blended using Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon which I then dry embossed and splattered some water, Azure Afternoon ink and Frost White ink over. I fussy cut the flowers and the sentiment out and layered them on top of a Blueberry Bushel die cut and some white ribbon. Finishing touches were some Wink of Stella to the Blueberry circle and flowers and some Balmy Blue sequins.
