Hello and welcome to a new year with Just Add Ink! We are kicking off the year with our annual Blog Hop and this year we are adding something fresh and new to our projects!
You may have arrived from Rochelle's blog with her wonderful card or you may be starting here but either way grab a cuppa and do the whole hop because you are in for some gorgeous treats!
I love kicking off the New Year with new things and recently I got the new Classing Wedding bundle, a new online exlusive. This is such a fun bundle and my first thought was not for a wedding card but for someone who has just got their driver license!
In the end I did go with a wedding card as I have a niece who is not far off being married. I needed to keep it simple as this card will be travelling overseas with me! I used a Fresh Freesia base, layer and DSP (from a retired paper pack) because I just love this colour! I stamped the car using StazOn onto some Fluid 100 paper and just used some ink refills in Fresh Freesia and Smoky Slate (and water) to roughly watercolour the image. I used the matching dies to cut out the rest of the pieces (banner and roses) and added some Wink of Stella to the roses. The sentiment is also new, from the stamp set Everyday Greetings.
To finish my card off I ran some white ribbon through some diluted Blackberry Bliss ink to colour it and coloured the rhinestones with the dark Fresh Freesia Blends marker.
From here you'll be heading to Narelle's blog and her gorgeous project, enjoy!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, elegant wedding card Jo. Your neice will absolutely love this. And how fab that you are able to travel over to give it to her!
ReplyDeleteLove this gorgeous monochrome card Jo. I’m sure your niece will love it.
ReplyDeletePurple and pink are my two favorite colors so that's what drew my eye first! <3 And then I was struck by the idea of the car's rear view could be very versatile. Besides newlyweds, it could be used for vacation, sending child off to college, new driver's license, etc. Your card for the JAI blog hop is a very lovely wedding card!
ReplyDeleteGreat wedding card!! Hopping on to the next card...
