This week at Just Add Ink we have been challenged to a colour palette by Patrice. I love this palette but I really did have some struggles getting the card just right!
I very rarely work in black so wanted this to be the basis of my card with the other colours as accents and since Fresh Fig is also a fairly dark colour I only wanted that in 'pops of colour' around the card. I chose to use retired DSP from Watercolor Wonder just to give the background a little bit of details but stamped over the top with the flourish stamp from Wood Words, just to give the background a bit more depth.
I embossed the sentiment from my ever faithful set Birthday Blooms in Fresh Fig and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes framelits. I popped it up on a couple of dimensionals after layering it over some of our gorgeous ribbons in matching colours and the mini silver sequin trim. You can also never do with some rhinestones so I added a couple of those too.
