I'm back today with a new challenge for Just Add Ink and this week we've been given a sketch challenge by Tina!





You've got to love a sketch challenge, they are one of my favourites because I love playing with new layouts! I was initially stumped but after flipping the challenge it soon all came together!

I wanted to try out a new colour combination today but as I have yet to get my hands on some Pretty Peacock cardstock I had to make do with the next best thing - Island Indigo. I started with my stamped base of Petal Pink (with the Birch background stamp) and added some Grapefuit Grove, vellum and the Springtime Impressions die cut to make the layout of the card to match the sketch.

This is where my quirky colour combo came in - adding Pool Party and Island Indigo. I wasn't exactly sure how they would go together but I do like the result. I mixed in some ribbons, twine and DSP to bring the butterfly and circle die cuts into the card and at the same time setting up my colour combination. I decided to make it a birthday card with the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings because I just have so many family birthdays coming up!
