Happy Friday and welcome to our latest Just Add Ink Challenge! This week we have an inspiration picture for you suggested by Rachael.
The picture and the earthy tones really suggested a masculine card for this challenge so I took that idea to complete my card.
I really would have like to have used the new Forever Greenery DSP for this challenge but since I don't own any of it yet I decided to make my own background.
I was inspired by one sheet of the DSP in particular and used those colours (Shaded Spruce, Pretty Peacock, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sea Foam) to draw simple lines with my Water Painters onto some Shimmery White cardstock. Once it was dry I cut the layer out with the Stitched Rectangle dies and layered it onto a Whisper White layer and a base of Shaded Spruce.
My 'happy' was cut twice, once out of the Crumb Cake Stitched Rectangle and then one letter of each colour to match my background, each letter having Wink of Stella applied for some sparkle. The 'birthday' was cut using the Well Written dies with Early Espresso cardstock and then dabbed into my Versamark pad and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a shine.
Well, there you have it, a pretty simple card to achieve and if you like the look of the background you can totally change up the colours to suit your project.
Thanks for stopping by and please drop by the Just Add Ink blog to get some more Design Team inspiration.
Happy crafting!
