Welcome to our latest Just Add Ink Challenge! This week we have an inspiration picture from Rachael.
Such a pretty picture! At first I thought wedding card but I have no need for one of those at the moment because no one is getting married! So I went with the next best thing, a birthday card.
I went with the closest colour I could think of, Rococo Rose. I had planned on using copper embossing powder with it but the powder didn't work well so I changed the bling to some retired Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper. Had I remembered I had it I probably could have used some from the Everything Is Rosy kit! Oh well.
So my card is basically a Rococo Rose base and embossed layer. I went with Very Vanilla cardstock over Whisper White which worked in with the flowers in the inspiration pic. I stamped leaves on Whisper White using a new In Color, Just Jade. I also die cut leaves from the Wild Rose dies in Mint Macaron. The main flower is from 'To A Wild Rose' and is embossed in white and watercoloured in a very light base of Petal Pink and then Rococo Rose. My birthday greeting was one I had already to go from the Zany Zebras set.
Please hop on over to the JAI blog to check out the other fabulous inspiration from the picture and I hope you feel inspired to enter our challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!
