Happy New Year and welcome back to Just Add Ink! We are back for (hopefully a better) 2021 and we are kicking of the year with a blog hop! Our subject is family and we've all made projects that relate to family milesones, missing family, celebrating new family etc, especially during the very hard 2020 year.





So for me it was all about missing my family. I have family all over the state and being in Sydney we have been in lockdown due to COVID a few times and that has made it hard for me to catch up with my family, especially my mum who is immuno-compromised.

The card itself is fairly simple as I wanted the image to speak for itself. I used Fluid 100 watercolour paper and embossed the image in black and coloured it in with minimal colour, not even trying to colour it properly! It was then just die cut using the Stitched Rectangles dies and layered on DSP and cardstock of Blushing Bride. I used some new twine from the Jan-June 2021 Mini catalogue and an old sentiment that said just what I wanted to say.
