Welcome to our latest Just Add Ink Challenge! Isn't this year just disappearing so fast! Well this week we have a colour challenge for you!
I found this colour combo hard. I tried several things but nothing looked right. In the end I chose the 'less is more' approach!
I started with a piece of Fluid 100 watercolour paper and created a range of colours from Blackberry Bliss, blending into Petal Pink, which blended into Bermuda Bay, creating dark and light spots along the way. Once it was dry I lined up the letters 'H A P P Y' from the Playful Alphabet Dies and keeping them in line with a piece of washi cut it out several times with foam adhesive sheets on the back of each piece. Once they were all cut out I placed them on a Basic White layer in the same order.
My base is Thick Basic White topped with a dry embossed layer using the retired Corrugated 3D folder. I popped the Basic White layer up off the embossed layer and placed a small strip of DSP down the side as a little colour anchor. The card is finished with an embossed 'birthday' sentiment to match the 'Happy's' and some Iridescent rhinestones.
There is such a variety of inspiration this week from the design team! Pop on over to the Just Add Ink blog to check them out and submit your own entry.
