Well here we are with a new Just Add Ink challenge. This week's challenge is to add the Spotlight Technique!





This has to be one of the quickest and easiest cards I have made in a long time and you just have to love DSP for this technique!

Mr card was as simple as starting out with a piece of black and white DSP, in this case it was some retired True Love DSP. I cut a piece to the layer size that I required and then using the Stylish Shapes Dies I cut a piece out of the middle, a little lower than where I wanted but it worked out in the end. I coloured the cut out piece with Blends markers (colours shown below) and then it was just a matter of layering it all together.

My card uses a Basic Black base, a Smoky Slate layer and the DSP layer. The coloured spotlight is popped up using dimensionals and I've just added some Bubble Bath ribbon under it to break it up a little. The card is finished with an embossed sentiment and some gold sequins. So, so easy, and you can really do this in any colour or with any paper!
