Happy Friday! Today we have a new Just Add Ink challenge and this week it is an Inspiration Challenge.





For my card I took inspiration from the horizontal lines of the stairs and paired it with the colour tones of the image to create a special birthday card.

I started by choosing my colours of Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue and Gray Granite. I cut strips of varying sizes of each colour and layered them together. To add a bit of texture I ran the layer through with an embossing folder. The cake came next and I used Stampin' Blends in the same colours. The cake and candles are from Mama Elephant sets that my Mum owned, Celebration Cake and Celebration Candles.

I popped the cake and all the candles up of a vellum starburst die cut to make it stand out from the background, popped the numbers on it and added an embossed sentiment and some sequins to finish.
