I admit to being a bit slack of late as we have a new house member - golden retriever Maggie - and she has been taking up most of my time (and oh how in love we are with her)!
I could stare at her all day but back to the challenge! Using the stripes mask I sponged on 3 different colours - Blackberry Bliss at the bottom, Rich Razzleberry in the middle and Sweet Sugarplum towards the top. I finished it off with the ever-beautiful butterfly dies and some Wink of Stella and Glimmer Tape.

Such an elegant card Jo! I love the ombre look in your stencilled background and your layered butterflies add such a beautiful highlight and touch of sparkle. Talking of sparkle, young Maggie looks totally adorable - and so cute to see her looking like she is about to fall asleep, so precious!! Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week :-)
ReplyDeleteMaggie is just the cutest Jo, l can see why she would keep you amused for hours..:0) absolutely love this card, the ombré stripes are a great effect and the overall is very elegant. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink.

ReplyDeleteNice use of the striped mask to create your lovely grades of colour, Jo & of course the butterfly pops beautifully off the front. Glad you could drag yourself away from Maggie to play again at JAI.
ReplyDeleteDi :)
PS. That 2nd picture of Maggies is especially a-dor-able.
PPS. when are you bringing her over for a visit to see some puppy pals.
Aw thanks lovely! Yes, she is indeed delightful! She is 10 weeks today and really confined to the house until she has her 12 week needles. I could definitely bring her to the next class but she won't be this little for long, especially at the rate she devours food :)
DeleteOh Maggie is so adorable - I can see why she would take up all your time. Love your masked card - has given me some great ideas.....thank you. I love how you have used the different colours. Chantell JAI
