Happy Friday everyone! We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink today and this week it is an inspiration challenge.





This challenge took me ages! I tried so many things but I don't have a lot of 'woodsy' supplies. I ended up taking my inspiration from the woods and the colours and created this crittery birthday card!

I started with the two critters, the turtle and racoon, and coloured them in with similar colours to the challenge images. To make it look like the forest I used the retired Woodland embossing folder just on some Basic White cardstock. I thought about colouring between the trees but thought it might end up too much so I left it white. I cut 'grass' pieces using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock and layered them over each other and then used the rectangle stitched dies to complete my top layer which then went on to an Old Olive DSP layer and then the Mossy Meadow base.

To finish the card I stamped some music notes between the embossed trees, added the heat embossed sentiment, some Wink of Stella to the balloons and some Old Olive rhinestones. I think it turned out great for a style I don't often (if ever!) do!
